Thompson Industrials powered by Clean Harbors in Sumter, SC seeking a n IS Technician (Big Pump) to join our safety conscious team. This role will be active in the field responsible for the performance of tasks associated with hazardous waste clean-up, site-remediation, equipment decontamination and handling of hazardous materials. • Drug Screen Required
• Experience with hydroblasting, vacuum trucks, warehouse/manufacturing, general labor, production and industrial field experience a plus but not a requirement
• Responsibilities include health and safety focus, operation and maintenance of hydroblasting and related equipment, and adherence to company and customer expectations
• Examine surfaces cleaned to ensure conformance
• Maintain the unit and peripherals, including industrial vacuum equipment and disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous materials
• Perform routine maintenance on company equipment
• Additional duties as assigned

• Reliable transportation; valid driver’s license preferred
• Ability to perform physical functions per key responsibilities
• On-call requirement; emergency response may require extended hours including weekends and holidays
• Successful complete background check, drug test, and physical, by position

• Safety training and on-the-job training; essential experience from other jobs
• English language proficiency to understand safety training and respond to emergencies
• Valid driver license and compliance with driving policy when driving company vehicle or using personal vehicle for company business
• OSHA certification may be required
• Knowledge of emergency equipment operations (e.g., fire extinguishers)
• May provide TWIC
