Position: Registered Nurse(RN) OR Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Family Medicine

Job Duties And Responsibilities Of The Registered Nurse (RN)

  • Administers skilled nursing care to patients according to their physical and emotional needs and in accordance with the medical plan of care to include assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the care of all assigned patients in the center as appropriate.
  • Assists with precepting new clinical employees and student nurses.
  • Administers medications and monitors patients for adverse drug reactions in the center.
  • Assists in patient/family education for continuation of care.
  • Assists MD/NP during examinations and treatments.
  • Performs triage expectations as appropriate to specific populations.
  • Collects specimens by proper procedure (urine, stool, wound, throat cultures, etc.).
  • Assists patients to prepare for examinations or treatment.
  • Performs EKGs upon the request of the provider.
  • Responds to telephone call-backs as directed by the provider.
  • Assists the Director of Nursing in supervising activities in the clinical areas.
  • Informs the Chief Clinical Officer of staffing issues and patient needs.
  • Assists in providing PI reports for improving quality of patient care.
  • Performs other clinical duties as assigned by the Chief Clinical Officer.
Job Duties and Responsibilities of the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
  • Administers skilled nursing care to patients according to their physical and emotional needs and in accordance with the medical plan of care to include assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the care of all assigned patients in the center as appropriate.
  • Assists with precepting new clinical employees and student nurses.
  • Assists with nursing procedures as directed by the supervisor or providers.
  • Assists in patient/family education for continuation of care.
  • Observes, records and reports all significant information, signs and symptoms to the provider. Performs triage expectations as appropriate to specific populations.
  • Collects specimens by proper procedure (urine, stool, wound, throat cultures etc.).
  • Assists patients to prepare for examination or treatment.
  • Performs EKGs upon the request of the provider.
  • Responds to telephone call-backs as directed by the provider.
  • Assists in providing PI reports for improving quality of patient care.
  • Performs other clinical duties as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited registered nursing program or licensed practical nursing program and licensed to practice in South Carolina by the SC State Board of Nursing.
  • Two years clinical experience in a primary care setting preferred.
  • Current CPR certification required.
