Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive maintenance program promoting efficiency, productivity, and compliance with regulations, budget, and safety standards.
- Schedule and complete preventive maintenance tasks on time to avoid unplanned work and minimize equipment disruptions.
- Manage all planned and scheduled maintenance activities including work order generation, resource allocation, and backlog reduction to ensure timely completion.
- Validate the time, materials, resources, and tools required for each job ensuring compliance with technical and HS&E specifications.
- Monitor and control maintenance costs, recording hours, planning index, and backlog trends to identify priorities and propose improvement projects.
- Coordinate with production planning to increase planned work and optimize utilization of technicians and spare parts.
- Provide resources to line support team during absences to ensure business continuity.
- Outsource planned workload not core to the plant when possible.
- Perform other duties as required to support business needs.
- High School Diploma required; higher level degree preferred.
- 3-5 years maintenance experience as technician or first-line supervisor with focus on processing and packaging equipment installation, maintenance, and start-up.
- 3-5 years experience with plant facility and utility equipment maintenance preferred.
- Demonstrated Servant Leadership attributes for interpersonal relations and team development skills.
- Formal training in maintenance excellence including planning, work control, priority management, scheduling, assignments, and managing KPIs.
- Experience with CMMS tools (SAP preferred).
- Good communication, coaching, and training support skills.
- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Computer literate with solid understanding of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Authorized to work in the US without visa sponsorship.
