Monday-Thursday, 3:00pm-1:00am.
Hourly rate: $19.24 - $24.05 per hour, plus a $1.00/hour shift differential. Eligible for a variable incentive program. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, qualifications, market and business considerations.
What You’ll DoIn the Wiring Associate role, you will wire switchboard or panel board products and provide wiring expertise. You will communicate and work with team members to complete assignments and meet safety, quality, delivery, inventory, and productivity goals.
In This Function You Will- Contribute to a safe, engaged and inclusive work culture by complying with policies, using personal protective equipment, operating equipment, and performing 5S duties.
- Use tools such as wire strippers and pliers to perform electrical wiring assembly of switchboards or panel boards.
- Work from manufacturing information (front views, bill of materials, wiring diagrams, drawings, blueprints, order entry systems, oral or written instructions) to select and install the correct wires and complete production efficiently.
- Understand power flow and reference guidelines to comply with regulations when wiring switchboards or panel boards.
- Maintain expected progress of jobs and communicate problem areas or part shortages.
- Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement and conduct root‑cause analysis for quality or production issues.
- Ensure quality through visual inspections before and after wiring, identifying nonconforming parts, and troubleshooting errors.
- Cross‑train and stand in for other employees/job functions when necessary.
- High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
- Minimum 6 months wiring experience or successful completion of Eaton wiring certification.
- 6 months experience in manufacturing or operations and/or technical experience in an industrial setting.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
- 1+ year experience in manufacturing or operations and/or technical experience in an industrial setting.
- Demonstrated comprehension of wiring diagrams, schematics, and power flow. Ability to read and comprehend front views, one‑line diagrams, and bills of material.
- Experience with Eaton systems including PLM (Enovia) and material management (DMM).
- Working knowledge of Lean concepts.
- Some experience in panel board assembly operation, or assembly requiring drawings or diagrams.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, persuasive skills, and analytical problem‑solving skills. Work with individuals and groups to effectively participate within a team environment.
- Demonstrated comprehension of power flow.
- Utilize various hand tools to wire and verify quality in switchboards/panel boards in a lean environment.
- Self‑driven and able to produce desired results with minimal direction.
Perform duties such as standing, walking, sitting, reaching at or above shoulder level, gripping, handling, stooping, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling. Frequently required to lift/carry up to 35 pounds and push/pull up to or greater than 35 pounds (with or without accommodation). Vision: far and close vision with depth perception and color discrimination. Must regularly communicate.
