Join Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division as a Panel board Team Lead. This full‑time position is located at the Sumter facility, South Carolina.
Schedule:
Monday‑Friday, 5:00 am–1:30 pm. Hourly pay: $23.92 per hour. Salary is a general guideline and is based on experience and qualifications.
- Provide manufacturing expertise, guidance, and direction in all areas of Panel board Assembly to increase profitability and meet customer service objectives.
- Ensure timely and efficient execution of customer orders, giving priority to urgent requests.
- Promote a safe, engaged, and inclusive work culture by addressing concerns and escalating issues as needed.
- Review orders and associated documentation to ensure the team has the necessary information and troubleshoot documentation problems.
- Communicate professionally to provide status updates, resolve production issues, and foster teamwork across departments.
- Assist in the assessment, selection, training, and development of employees as a technical subject matter expert, including cross‑training in critical positions.
- Delegate tasks and align resources to meet production goals, including stepping into a production associate role during absenteeism.
- Apply strong analytical and problem‑solving skills to resolve obstacles or delays in the production process.
- Identify continuous improvement opportunities and drive assigned projects to completion.
- Manage paperwork daily to ensure production rates are met.
- Work directly with the manufacturing team to execute customer orders in a timely and efficient manner.
- Promote a safe, engaged, and inclusive work culture by proactively addressing and resolving concerns.
- Review orders and associated documentation to ensure the team has appropriate information and assist with troubleshooting order documentation.
- Communicate professionally to provide updates on the status of specific orders, resolve issues with production, and promote teamwork across departments.
- Participate in the assessment, selection, training, and development of employees as the technical subject matter expert.
- Delegate tasks and align resources as appropriate to meet production goals.
- Exhibit strong analytical and problem‑solving skills to resolve obstacles or delays.
- Work with the team to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Manage paperwork daily to ensure production rates are met.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- At least 2 years of manufacturing or operations experience.
- At least 3 months of leadership experience managing people or project teams.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
- Only candidates residing within a 50‑mile radius of the Sumter facility will be considered.
- Associate’s degree from an accredited institution.
- At least 1 year of leadership experience managing people or project teams.
- At least 1 year of experience in panel board assembly.
- Experience with Eaton systems including order entry (Vista), material management (DMM), and MRP/ERP (AS400).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, persuasive skills, and analytical problem‑solving skills.
- Strong organizational and planning skills with the ability to manage projects and initiatives with multiple priorities.
- Ability to direct and influence others without formal leadership authority.
- Working knowledge of Lean concepts.
- Must work somewhat independently and make decisions that affect the workgroup.
- Willing to work flexible hours and overtime in support of business needs.
- Regularly stand, walk, sit, reach at or above shoulder level, grip, and use hands to handle and feel.
- Frequently lift and carry up to 35 pounds; push and pull up to or greater than 35 pounds.
- Vision requirements include far and close vision with depth perception and color discrimination.
- Regularly listen and talk.
- Regular exposure to noise and dust.
