Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Continuous Improvement Engineering Technician in Sumter, SC.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $53,000 - $78,000 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

The primary role of the Continuous Improvement Engineering Tech is to support the Continuous Improvement team through driving continuous improvement throughout the assembly operations, primarily our Switchboard product line. This role will assist with the deployment of various CI tools (5S, VSM, Lean Material Flow, 3P, etc) which will be used to improve productivity, quality, and safety.

• Process analysis and improvement and waste reduction.
• Support and facilitate Kaizen Events and A3 Problem Solving sessions.
• Support the deployment of Eaton Continuous Improvement Systems (ECIS).
• Visual Management and Standardization through the development and maintenance of visual controls and standardized work instructions and method sheets for new processes.
• Data collection and reporting of CI metrics such as OEE, cycle time and cost savings.
• Training of CI training and culture throughout the facility.
• Alignment of continuous improvement initiatives with safety and quality standards throughout the facility.

• Associate’s Degree or higher from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 1 year of manufacturing or continuous improvement experience.
