• Provide direct patient care for a wide range of urgent medical conditions (sore throat, respiratory illness, rashes and skin infections, sprains and strains, fracture care, cuts, burns and others).
• Perform minor procedures and interpret diagnostic tests (e.g., X-rays, EKGs, labs, CT scans, ultrasound, MRI, echocardiogram, PFT, urodynamic tests, and more).
• Develop and implement patient management plans, record progress notes, and assist in provision of continuity of care. Communicate with patients regarding testing results, follow-up care, and additional information.
• Prescribe pharmaceuticals, other medications, and treatment regimens as appropriate to assessed medical conditions. Refer patients to specialists and to relevant patient care components as appropriate.
• Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure seamless patient care.
• Document patient encounters accurately and timely in the electronic medical record.
• Follow established policies, procedures, objectives, and recommended referral practices. Participate in facility in-services, required training, recruiting, required staff meetings, and other clinic operations procedures.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and uphold clinical best practices.

• Open 7 days per week
• Monday–Friday 7:30 am–6:00 pm
• Saturday/Sunday 7:30 am–5:00 pm
• Providers are required to work 13 shifts per month
• Clinician will work rotating shifts between our two locations, Sumter and Manning, South Carolina. Requires working in a clinical setting. Noise level is moderate with potential exposure to infectious diseases and blood‑borne pathogens. Requires travel to other sites, ability to stand and sit for hours (with some bending and stooping), manual dexterity in relation to clinical requirements, and ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Urgent care providers have an opportunity to work additional shifts for a pre‑determined stipend amount and/or work in the primary care setting.
