ScheduleMonday - Friday | 6 am - 2:30 pm, potential 5 am start time on Fridays
Position SummaryThe Tool Maker maintains, cleans and repairs tooling following tool shop best practices.
Responsibilities- Clean and prepare tool surfaces.
- Minor repair of composite and metal materials.
- Weigh and mix typical resins.
- Pressure testing.
- Apply release agents to tool surfaces as needed.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
- Customer centric focus with advanced customer service skills.
- Excellent time management and basic math skills.
- Composite materials experience.
- Up to 1 year of related experience preferred.
While performing typical duties of this job, production employees will experience the conditions noted below. PPE is provided to protect employees against physical harm or hazards in the workplace environment.
- Usually work indoors. These sites may not be temperature controlled.
- Exposure to loud sounds and distracting noise levels.
- Exposure to hazardous equipment.
- Exposure to contaminants.
- Shared work spaces with other employees.
- Requires handling objects of up to 50 lbs.
- Lifting pushing, pulling, and bending.
- Standing and/or walking for 8 to 12 or more hours per day (varies based on role, shift, and overtime).
- Required PPE provided by SEKISUI Aerospace based on the employee's position and exposure. Below are typical PPE used on the production floor. Appropriate PPE must be worn by all employees when on the production floor.
- Full Face Shield
- Gloves (Latex, Rubber, Chemical Resistant, General Duty)
- Protective Apron
- Respirator
- Safety Glasses - Safety Goggles
