Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Jersey

• Minimum 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience

• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification – Required

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification – Required

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing

• Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred
Labor & Delivery RN Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments for mothers and newborns

• Deliver compassionate and skilled nursing care in a maternity setting

• Demonstrate proficiency with emergency medical equipment and procedures

• Maintain accurate documentation of patient care and education

• Promote patient and family satisfaction through professional interactions

• Adhere to National Patient Safety Goals and Universal Protocols

• Utilize safe transfer techniques and proper body mechanics

• Individualize patient care based on procedures and anesthesia type

• Educate patients and families on procedures, instructions, and post-operative care

• Support completion of patient testing and evaluate Pre Admission Testing (PAT) orders

• Contribute to a collaborative perioperative healthcare team environment
