Position Summary:

The Human Resources Assistant is responsible for the accurate processing, collecting and filing of all documents required by the Human Resources Department. The Human Resources Assistant will also provide administrative support and work on special projects for the Human Resources Director.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

High School Graduate/GED required, Bachelor's degree preferred

One to 3 Years of experience

Skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, and Word.
  • Knowledge of ICIMS/ Workday/ Lawson
  • Skill in organizing and prioritizing workloads to meet deadlines
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations
  • Ability to use good judgement and to maintain confidentiality of information.
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Ensure the accurate processing of all employee Human Resources documents
  • Ensure accuracy of and maintain employee personnel files.
  • Coordinate pre-employment activities, including the scheduling of candidates for interview or lab work and initiating the background checking process.
  • Follow up evaluation process for employees due for performance review and monitor completion rates
  • Assist with the benefits enrollment process.
  • Assemble new employee orientation and benefit enrollment kits.
  • Conduct routine audits of Personnel files to insure we have on file current copies of signed job descriptions, licenses and/or certifications, when applicable.
  • Monitor Licensure, Training Records in Lawson and conduct primary source verification
  • Follow up requests for employment verifications.
  • Ensure the confidentiality of employee records, and utilize good judgment in maintaining all employee information.
  • Perform a variety of administrative and clerical duties as assigned by the Director of HR.
  • Order supplies for the Human Resources Department
  • Adhere to facility, department, corporate and standard policies and procedures.
  • Attend all mandatory facility in-services and staff development activities as scheduled.
  • Adhere to facility standards concerning conduct, dress, attendance and punctuality.
  • Support facility-wide quality/performance improvement goals and objectives.
