Pharmacy Technician II - Per Diem - Overlook Medical Center

Responsibilities- Proficient in the use of various pharmacy automation systems and electronic medical record
- Responsible for medication preparation and delivery, including controlled dangerous substances and hazardous medications
- Responsible for the safe and accurate preparation of non-sterile and sterile medications according to USP 795, 797 and 800 guidelines
- Handle hazardous medications according to USP 800 guidelines
- Follow proper medication safety practices (e.g., look alike sound alike, high alert, expirations and recalls, temperature and humidity documentation)
- Assist in training of pharmacy personnel, when appropriate
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills, attention to detail and teamwork
