Supervisor seen as the department lead of 3 payroll tax specialist, managing payroll taxes, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations. Expertise in tax reporting, reconciliation, auditing, and W2 processing and distribution. Proficiency with Excel and a deep understanding of payroll tax laws and regulations.

- Monitor daily workflow of the tax team email and Client Space (a Prism
HR program) tasks and cases - Demonstrate excellent interpersonal, organizational, and follow-up skills.
- Multi-State Payroll Processing
- Adhere to federal, state, and local agency tax regulations and requirements, to complete tax payments and filing of tax returns.
- Multi-State Payroll Processing
- Initiate departmental tax impact communications, i.e., Futa Credit reduction states in CA, CT, and NY
- Confidentiality & Data Security - manage the day-to-day operations ensuring the daily tax payments, filing requirements, report requests, withholding questions, tax adjustments, client billing.
- Year-end preparation; W2 balancing, reconciliation, and third-party distribution
- Train staff with W-2 corrections, tax adjustments, client billing, client records, tax rate and bill rates
- Import of client SUTA wages for the benefit of reducing wage base taxation.
- Communication with federal, state, and local agencies regarding account maintenance, notices, unemployment tax rates, and account billing and credits
- Reconcile payroll tax reporting for quarterly and annual filing, amendments, or tax notices.
- Review, resolve, and respond to client or state correspondence regarding account requirements, notices, and tax rates.
- Update client tax account numbers and unemployment tax rates in Prism
HR and Master Tax, ensuring accuracy for tax filing.
