Key Responsibilities- Assist the store manager with sales, appearance, and overall store operations, receiving training to prepare for a future management position.
- Supervise professional and retail operations, overseeing delivery, installer service specialists, parts, and merchandising specialists.
- Manage all team members assigned to the store or HUB store, working with the district manager and store manager on recruiting, hiring, evaluating, promoting, disciplining, and discharging.
- Communicate information from team weekly and monthly store manager meetings to all staff.
- Train new team members, conduct performance evaluations, and recommend pay increases.
- Assist with the hiring process, including recruiting tasks, scheduling and participating in interviews, and evaluating candidates with management.
- Support safety compliance and ensure all team members receive appropriate training; monitor and reinforce safety expectations.
- Make sales calls with or without the store manager and may be assigned weekly customer calls.
- Assist the store manager with general store operations as needed.
- Maintain the delivery fleet, keeping accurate records for each vehicle.
- Ensure the store/HUB store remains neat, clean, and organized.
- Use electronic scheduling, clocking, and payroll systems; learn payroll entry functions.
- Manage gross profit components, monitor professional customer returns for core and warranty abuse, and review price matches and overrides.
- Review individual team member productivity and KPI dashboard daily.
- Review monthly P&L statements with the store manager and discuss opportunities for improvement.
- High School Diploma
- Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
- Completion of Assistant Manager Certification, Sales Specialist Training, and Manager Development Program
- Ability to read and match numerical/alpha characters quickly and accurately
- Knowledge of automotive parts, equipment, and systems
- Experience at an O'Reilly store and/or distribution center
- Completed O'Reilly management training program
- Advanced computer skills
- ASE Certification
- Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish highly desired)
