Blue Pearl Pet Hospital in Summerville, SC is hiring an exceptional Veterinary Technician to join our Surgery Team.
Must have strong anesthesia, pre-op, post-op, and monitoring experience.

As a Surgery Veterinary Technician, you will:
- Provide nursing care to stable patients according to hospital standards of care and core values.
- Utilize your ability to place peripheral intravenous catheters in the cephalic vein.
- Perform physical exams; accurately monitor heart rate, pulse, capillary refill time, mucous membranes, temperature, respiratory rate, and effort.
- Understand normal vital parameters and alert the doctor when abnormal.
- Set up and administer intravenous fluids.
- Administer subcutaneous fluids.
- Operate all brands of intravenous fluid pumps and troubleshoot errors.
- Disconnect and connect patients from intravenous fluids aseptically.
- Monitor patient response to fluid therapy, including signs of overload.
