Job Purpose
This role involves providing daily care and enrichment for our gibbons and otter residents, ensuring theirwell-beingand promoting natural behaviors in a sanctuary setting.

Core Responsibilities
Perform daily feeding routines, including preparation of diets and ensuring adherence to nutritional standards.
Clean andmaintainanimal enclosures, ensuring a safe and hygienic environment.
Implement enrichment programs to stimulate natural behaviors and enhance animal welfare.
Monitor health and behavior, reporting any concerns to the Curator of Animal Care..
Assist with routine medical procedures and administer medications as directed.
Maintainaccuraterecords of care, diet, and behavior observations in the digital records platform.
Maintain up to date knowledge of each animal’s individual challenges and care requirements.
Participate in training sessions using operant conditioning techniques.
Adhere to all standards and protocols as defined in IPPL’s Standards of Care and IPPL’s Animal Care Manual
Physical Requirements
Good physical condition
Education Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in animal related field is preferred.
