Under the direction of the Nursing Director or Supervisor, the Obstetrics Registered Nurse (RN) delivers quality patient care through assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. The RN directs all nursing care for patients, incorporates age‑specific development and cultural values into the plan of care, and contributes to quality outcomes with process improvement techniques and multidisciplinary collaboration. Direct supervision of students may be required.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP) obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
- STABLE certification obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
- Electronic Fetal Monitoring (C‑EFM) certification obtained within 1 year of employment start date.
- Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Associate Degree in Nursing.
