CNC Mill Machinist – 1st Shift

Job Description

Insight Global is hiring a CNC Mill Machinist with experience in Kitamura and Fadal to join our client in building the next generation steam turbines and components for the Navy and commercial customers. You will be taking part in the design, manufacturing, and testing of these mission critical turbines in a state‑of‑the‑art facility for manufacturing, machining, welding, assembly and quality inspections.

If you have experience in operating Kitamura and Fadal, have experience with Mill Machining, and are open to working in Summerville, SC then this position will be perfect.

• Set up and operate CNC milling machines (Kitamura & Fadal) performing precision machining to tolerances within 0.001″
• Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T
• Perform tool changes, offsets, and adjustments as needed
• Monitor machine performance and make corrections to maintain tolerances
• Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, indicators)
• Maintain clean and organized work area
• Work collaboratively with programming and quality departments

The compensation for this position ranges between an average of $55,000 to $86,000 per year depending on experience.

• 3 years of experience operating CNC milling machines, preferably Kitamura and/or Fadal
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and G-code
• Strong understanding of machining best practices and materials
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
• Must be able to obtain and maintain DoD Security clearances and approvals – Familiarity with conversational controls and/or Fanuc preferred
