Are you passionate about driving efficiency and quality in manufacturing? Insight Global is seeking a Manufacturing Process Engineer to join a dynamic team focused on optimizing production processes and delivering exceptional results. This role is perfect for someone who thrives on problem-solving, continuous improvement, and collaboration.
What You’ll Do- Analyze safety, operational, and quality reports to uncover improvement opportunities.
- Evaluate equipment performance and implement strategies to boost productivity, reduce costs, and enhance safety.
- Develop and maintain Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and PFMEA plans
. - Create clear, detailed process documentation including work instructions and training materials.
- Define and standardize work procedures across your area of responsibility.
- Champion lean manufacturing principles—think 5S, Kanban, Poka-Yoke, visual management, and single-piece flow
. - Apply structured problem-solving tools like A3, 5Y, 8D, Ishikawa, PDCA, Six Sigma DMAIC
, and more. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support all aspects of production.
- Ensure compliance with international standards such as IATF 16949, ISO 14001, VDA
. - Optimize process parameters and recipes for new and existing products.
- Analyze product variation and implement capability improvements.
- Take on special projects that make a real impact.
- Education: BS in Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering preferred (AS degree with relevant experience considered).
- Experience: 3–5 years in automated or semi-automated manufacturing environments.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing and assembly processes, materials, and methods.
- Ability to interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and pneumatic diagrams.
- Familiarity with electro‑mechanical systems.
- Advanced analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with Tier I/Tier II automotive supplier specifications.
- Knowledge of PLC logic, vision systems, force/distance control, torque monitoring, and marking systems.
- Exposure to friction welding, assembly, balancing, and electrostatic painting processes.
- Bonus points for German language skills and Siemens controller troubleshooting experience.
$90,000 to $115,000 per year annual salary.
