Social Worker — 3rd shift (11:45 am - 8:15 pm)
Doors to Freedom is seeking a compassionate and mission‑driven Social Worker to join our team as a 3rd shift Awake Staff member. This role is vital in providing a safe and supportive environment for the youth we serve. If you are passionate about our mission and want to make a difference in the lives of survivors, we’d love to hear from you.
Responsibilities- Monitoring residents every 30 minutes throughout the night to ensure safety and well‑being
- Documenting sleep patterns and any notable observations
- Completing administrative duties as assigned
- Assisting residents with morning routines
- Intentional engagement with residents based on the resident’s goals listed within the Resident’s Daily Progress Note and Line of Sight [RES
02] - Communicating weekly updates regarding residents’ progress and struggles during residential shifts to the Program Director
- Assisting the Program Director in recommending needed training for residential staff
- Administering prescribed medication for residents at scheduled times and over‑the‑counter medication as needed
- Completing all tasks assigned by the Residential Director as stated in the Residential Checklist [RES
32] - Assisting the Residential Director, as needed, with coordinating and completing individualized room preparations to meet the welcoming room standards required by Doors to Freedom (i.e., welcome poster, hygiene basket, etc.)
- Full-time with weekend availability
- Bachelor’s in Social Work
- Demonstrating a strong commitment to the mission, vision, and core values of Doors to Freedom
- Complete onboarding training
- Must complete 14 approved continuing education hours annually
- Maintaining VSP‑HT certification annually
- Holding certifications in CPR and First Aid, Crisis Prevention Intervention, and completing annual training in Medication Administration, Bloodborne Pathogens, and Suicide Screener Training
- Strong leadership skills, the ability to build relationships, and maintain healthy boundaries
- Managing conflict resolution as needed
- Attention to detail, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Compensation: $20.68 hourly
