Social Worker — 3rd shift (11:45 am - 8:15 pm)

Doors to Freedom is seeking a compassionate and mission‑driven Social Worker to join our team as a 3rd shift Awake Staff member. This role is vital in providing a safe and supportive environment for the youth we serve. If you are passionate about our mission and want to make a difference in the lives of survivors, we’d love to hear from you.

Responsibilities
  • Monitoring residents every 30 minutes throughout the night to ensure safety and well‑being
  • Documenting sleep patterns and any notable observations
  • Completing administrative duties as assigned
  • Assisting residents with morning routines
  • Intentional engagement with residents based on the resident’s goals listed within the Resident’s Daily Progress Note and Line of Sight [RES
    02]
  • Communicating weekly updates regarding residents’ progress and struggles during residential shifts to the Program Director
  • Assisting the Program Director in recommending needed training for residential staff
  • Administering prescribed medication for residents at scheduled times and over‑the‑counter medication as needed
  • Completing all tasks assigned by the Residential Director as stated in the Residential Checklist [RES
    32]
  • Assisting the Residential Director, as needed, with coordinating and completing individualized room preparations to meet the welcoming room standards required by Doors to Freedom (i.e., welcome poster, hygiene basket, etc.)
Schedule
  • Full-time with weekend availability
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s in Social Work
  • Demonstrating a strong commitment to the mission, vision, and core values of Doors to Freedom
  • Complete onboarding training
  • Must complete 14 approved continuing education hours annually
  • Maintaining VSP‑HT certification annually
  • Holding certifications in CPR and First Aid, Crisis Prevention Intervention, and completing annual training in Medication Administration, Bloodborne Pathogens, and Suicide Screener Training
  • Strong leadership skills, the ability to build relationships, and maintain healthy boundaries
  • Managing conflict resolution as needed
  • Attention to detail, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

Compensation: $20.68 hourly
