As a key contributor to America's domestic solar industry and the clean energy transition, we deliver reliable, high-performance modules for residential, commercial & industrial (C&I), and utility-scale applications, leveraging Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) incentives to enhance supply chain resilience and domestic manufacturing.
Hounen is in an exciting high-growth phase, aggressively scaling operations in South Carolina and will triple its capacity and revenue in two years. This rapid, multi-GW ramp-up represents a capital-intensive, high-impact opportunity in one of the fastest-growing sectors of the U.S. economy.
The Chief Financial Officer will serve as the strategic financial architect and operational leader for this dynamic scale-up. Reporting directly to the CEO, the CFO will drive financial strategy, capital deployment, cost optimization, and compliance during this pivotal expansion from 1 GW+ to multi-GW capacity. This hands‑on executive role requires proven expertise in manufacturing finance, large‑scale capex projects, working capital management in volatile supply chains, and navigating U.S. renewable energy incentives in a multinational environment.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and lead the overall financial strategy to support explosive growth, including scaling from current 1 GW+ to 3 GW+ capacity and beyond
- Oversee FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, long‑range planning, and scenario modeling for rapid expansion phases
- Manage major capex investments (facility builds, equipment, solar cell integration), ROI analysis, and funding strategies
- Optimize cash flow, working capital, inventory, and supply chain financing in a high-growth manufacturing setting
- Direct treasury, banking relationships, FX risk management, debt/equity financing, and liquidity planning
- Ensure accurate financial reporting, U.S. GAAP compliance, tax strategy, and full capture of IRA incentives (e.g., domestic content bonuses, manufacturing credits)
- Partner with operations, supply chain, and manufacturing teams to drive cost reduction, margin improvement, and efficiency gains
- Build and lead a scalable finance organization (including Controller, FP&A, Treasury, Tax), with ERP system optimization
- Serve as primary liaison with global parent company on financial consolidation, intercompany matters, and reporting
- Provide executive‑level insights on pricing, product profitability, capacity utilization, risk management, and strategic initiatives.
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA and/or CPA/CMA strongly preferred
- 12+ years of progressive finance leadership, with 5+ years in senior roles (CFO, VP Finance, Senior Director etc.)
- Demonstrated success scaling manufacturing capacity (e.g., GW-level ramps) and managing capex projects
- Strong leadership capability — proven ability to build, inspire, and develop high-performing teams, influence executive peers, drive cultural alignment during rapid growth, and lead through ambiguity and change
- Established strong relationships with banks, financial institutions, and capital markets, with a track record of successfully structuring and securing financing for complex, capital‑intensive projects (debt, equity, project finance, etc.)
- Experience leading strategic projects such as major facility expansions, vertical integration initiatives, incentive monetization strategies, ERP implementations, or growth‑stage financing rounds
- Expertise in cost accounting, standard costing, variance analysis, and lean manufacturing finance
- Strong knowledge of U.S. renewable energy incentives (IRA, Section 45X, etc.) is preferred.
- Exceptional analytical, strategic, and communication skills with board/executive presentation experience
