Kid Strong Summerville is rapidly growing, and we're looking for a talented, enthusiastic Childrens Coach who is passionate, energetic, and excited to engage with parents and kids and make an impact on their lives.

We are looking for a coach with athletic or coaching experience who ideally has experience coaching kids ages 12 months to 11 years old. The Coach would focus on coaching children on brain, physical, and character development that stems from the evolving monthly curriculum. The ideal candidate must also be comfortable speaking to parents/guardians regarding “the why” behind the Kid Strong curriculum.

Our classes run typically weekdays, 9 am
-11 am and evenings until 7 pm, and weekends are typically from 8 am through lunch/noon. There is opportunity for a flexible work schedule depending on studio needs. Additional opportunity to increase scheduled hours through private party coaching hours. Prior experience as a pediatric OT/PT is a plus but not required.

• Coach class sizes of 6 to 15 children, age groups range from roughly 12 months old to 11 years old
• Teach the Kid Strong curriculum as provided by the HQ programming team
• Ensure classes start and end on schedule and follow the appropriate pace of curriculum
• Greet students and the parent(s)/guardian(s) individually before class
• Maintain a dynamic, fun, motivational, and professional demeanor when leading the class
• Demonstrate and manage the implementation of various exercises
• Ensure cleanliness of the center (lobby, bathrooms, floors); take out trash, sweep/mop, wipe equipment, and sanitize mats at the end of a shift
• Use the KS Coach’s App to record class data and provide records for parents (attendance, awards, etc.)
• Communicate professionally with co-workers in Slack and check messages regularly
• Complete training through Fran Connect as required by HQ
• Work in a physically intensive environment; may move across multiple miles, lift and move equipment up to 25 pounds
• Work hands-on with kids to ensure proper technique and student safety
• Assist parents of students ages three and younger with class flow
• Attend monthly center staff programming meetings to receive training for next month’s curriculum
• Attend additional mandatory staff meetings as required by the Kid Strong Director
• Learn and manage Coach Kid Strong Academy—special classes held when local schools are not operating
• Must obtain certified status by the HQ Training and Certification team
• Attend monthly center staff programming meetings to receive training for next month’s curriculum

• Passion for working with children is non-negotiable
• Prior experience coaching students within the appropriate Kid Strong age is preferred
• Prior experience speaking to and educating parents on the Kid Strong curriculum
• Intermediate knowledge of physiology, exercise techniques, and body mechanics
• CPR certification
• Positive, motivating, and effective interpersonal communication skills
• Self-starter who just gets the job done
