Job Title: Special Education Teacher
Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and student-focused Special Education Teacher to support learners with diverse academic, behavioral, and developmental needs in a school setting. This role is responsible for delivering individualized instruction, implementing effective intervention strategies, and creating a structured, supportive classroom environment where students can thrive. The ideal candidate is collaborative, organized, and passionate about helping students reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and manage Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in compliance with federal and state regulations
Provide differentiated instruction tailored to each student’s learning style and abilities
Monitor student progress, collect data, and adjust instructional strategies as needed
Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and administrators to ensure appropriate accommodations and modifications
Maintain accurate documentation, progress reports, and required special education records
Foster a positive, structured classroom environment that supports both academic growth and social-emotional development
Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress and educational goals
Participate in IEP meetings, professional development, and school-based initiatives
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or a related field
Active state teaching certification in Special Education
Strong knowledge of IEP development, behavioral supports, and instructional best practices
Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment
IDR Job . Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 37 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
