Assistant Program Director

The Little Gym of Summerville is seeking an energetic, self-motivated, and organized individual to help lead training, teaching, and special event management at our children’s gym.

Applicants must be available to work some evenings and at least one weekend day consistently.

The Assistant Program Director works very closely with the Regional Director and Assistant Gym Director and is primarily responsible for training instructors on how to teach classes to the extremely high standards established by The Little Gym International and program/event management. The ideal candidate will also excel at curriculum development that leads to skill growth for children in our gymnastics programs.

The Assistant Program Director will spend approximately 60% of their time teaching and training in classes, with the balance of their time devoted to day-to-day operations and to building a top-notch team of individuals who are 100% committed to providing outstanding customer service.

• Teaching high energy and fun classes, in accordance with The Little Gym curriculum
• Ensuring daily class and program quality is exceptional
• Reviewing curriculum for opportunities to encourage milestone and skill growth, communicating focus areas or tweaks to the team to implement in classes
• Leading the training program for all instructors from time of hire through assist and lead training, evaluating and providing feedback as individuals progress in roles within programs, looking for opportunities to utilize individuals’ strengths within the gym
• Conducting team trainings and meetings, in collaboration with the Assistant Gym Director and/or Regional Director
• Marketing program benefits to intro visits and current members in every class
• Providing outstanding customer service and membership experience while leading the team to do the same
• Ensuring daily tasks are completed (i.e. daily phone calls, texts, emails, attendance, cleaning, payment collection, inventory check, facility/equipment maintenance)
• Planning and implementing special events and programming like Parent Survival Nights, Camps, member events, and community events
• Creating social media posts that give followers the “taste and feel” of the gym to promote interest and engagement
• Engaging in community partnerships to promote revenue and membership growth
• Collaborating with Regional Director and Owners to set team, event and membership goals for gym while also being responsible for expense control
• Reporting on metrics for team, event, and membership progress to Regional Director and Owners during weekly/monthly meetings
• Performing other duties as assigned by Regional Director or Owners
• Working in tandem with the Assistant Gym Director to ensure unified leadership communication and experience at this location
