Overview
MUSC Children’s After Hours and Specialty Clinics is a pediatric outpatient clinic that falls under the Shawn Jenkin’s Children’s Hospital ing the day, we host a variety of pediatric subspecialists such as pediatric neurology, endocrinology, and pulmonary, among others. We also provide a walk-in After Hours Care, which is a direct extension of our pediatric emergency department to serve the community during hours when most pediatricians are closed.
Responsibilities- Manage day-to-day operations of the specialty care physician practice, including business operations, financial management, human resources, information management, patient care systems, and quality management.
- Provide consistent leadership and maintain excellent interpersonal relations with physicians and administrative staff while increasing physician engagement within the MUSC Health System.
- Lead and facilitate monthly staff meetings and ensure timely follow-up on issues needing resolution.
- Attend provider meetings as an operational stakeholder and participate in educational conferences to stay informed of developments in health care.

Hours: Monday–Friday 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Management or related field required.
Experience: Minimum 2+ years of prior healthcare leadership/management experience required.

Oversee day-to-day operations, ensure onboarding and training on operational practices, policies, and EHR usage; monitor for compliance; facilitate issue resolution. - Administrative

Oversee inventories, review vendor invoices, coordinate staffing with other Leaders, participate in ad hoc projects, and attend/participate in meetings and committees. - People

Lead HR activities including hiring, orientation, performance management, investigations of patient complaints, coaching and staff development. - Business

Drive continuous workflow improvements, manage office budget and expenditures, review provider scorecards, identify cost-effective revenue opportunities, ensure quality of work from direct reports. - Skills/Qualities/Knowledge

Leadership, communication, critical thinking, interpersonal skills, EHR knowledge, team development, and patient care involvement as needed.
Physical requirements include ability to stand, sit, walk, ascend stairs, and perform various movements; ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and perform related physical tasks; vision and hearing capabilities as specified; ability to work rotating shifts and overtime as required.
