Type of position: Trainee
Your future role on our team
Your role as an Electrical Co-op student will be to take part in engineering projects in the Energy, Industrial and Mining sectors. You will be responsible for ensuring the quality of the deliverables you are assigned and for maintaining a good working relationship with your teammates while gaining industry experience.
With us, you’ll get the opportunity to…- Participate in small to major projects for utility (substation and generation), industrial (manufacturing/processing plants and renewable energy) and heavy industry clients (mining)
- Prepare sketches and drawings (schematics, wiring diagrams, layouts, etc.)
- Prepare technical documents (reports, specifications, testsheets, manuals, etc.)
- Prepare engineering lists
- Perform device configuration and programming (PLCs, HMIs, relays, etc.)
- Take part in site inspections, testing and commissioning
- Strong commitment to health and safety
- Ability to see beyond established standards
- Results-driven
- Constantly seeking sustainable and agile solutions
- Rigour and ethical
- Ability to see beyond established standards
- Enrolled in an Electrical Engineering program
- Good academic standing
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Basewage between $24-$31/hr
- Flexible schedule that combines office presence and telecommuting
