PositionSecurity Officer - Petrochemical Access Control in Sulphur, LA. You will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical and more. As an Access Control Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor entry points, conduct routine patrols, and remain highly visible to deter security-related incidents. You will interact with site personnel and visitors, providing exceptional customer service while maintaining a secure environment.

- Monitor and control access to the location to deter unauthorized entry and/or activities.
- Perform identification checks and verify credentials of individuals entering or exiting the premises.
- Assist with directing visitors and contractors as per site-specific protocols.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly, following established procedures.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to deter suspicious activity and/or security-related breaches.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of access control activities, incidents, and observations.
- Provide customer service by addressing inquiries and assisting with directions and/or information related to site policies.
- Support emergency response activities as required, in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific guidelines.
- A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
- Applicants must have at least 1 year of law enforcement experience or 2 years of security supervisor or manager experience or 3 years of security-related experience.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
