Security Guard - Petrochemical Entry Monitor in Sulphur, LA monitors entrances and patrols assigned areas to deter security-related incidents while providing excellent customer service. This position requires a valid driver’s license in the job state.

Pay Rate: $15.50 / Hour

• Monitor access points to deter unauthorized entry and maintain security-related protocols at the location.
• Verify credentials and provide authorized access for personnel, contractors, and visitors in accordance with site-specific procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and perimeter to deter and identify any suspicious activity or security-related concerns.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
• Document and report all security-related incidents, observations, and activities as required by Allied Universal and client site policies.
• Assist with the enforcement of site policies and procedures to support a secure environment within the chemical and petrochemical location.
• Provide customer service by assisting employees, visitors, and contractors with inquiries and directions while maintaining a professional presence.
• Collaborate with other Allied Universal personnel and site management to support ongoing security-related operations and objectives.

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Must have 1+ years of law enforcement experience, or 2+ years of security supervisor/manager experience, or 3+ years of security-related experience.
• At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
