As a Security Officer - Chemical Access Entry in Sulphur, LA
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Allied Universal Security Officer specializing in access control for a chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor entrances, manage badge access, and conduct routine patrols to help to deter security‑related incidents. • Perform access control duties by verifying credentials of individuals entering and exiting the location to help to deter unauthorized entry.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and maintain security-related procedures.
• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by responding to inquiries and assisting with security-related needs.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site‑specific policies and procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to help to deter suspicious activity and report irregularities.
• Document and report all security‑related incidents, observations, and activities according to Allied Universal and site‑specific protocols.
• Assist with emergency response activities as directed by site procedures and Allied Universal guidelines.

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Applicants must have 1 or more years of law enforcement experience or 2 or more years of security supervisor or manager experience or 3 or more years of security‑related experience.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• At this site there are limited on‑site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
