Job Title: Civil Inspector (with Welding Competency) & Piping Welding Inspectors
Location: Sulphur, Louisiana (Lake Charles area)
Duration: 4-Year Project (Annual Contract Renewal Based on Performance)
Per Diem: $120/day (7 days/week) for candidates residing outside Lake Charles + 50-mile radius
Position OverviewWe are seeking experienced Civil Inspectors (with Welding Competency) and Piping Welding Inspectors to support a major LNG development project in Sulphur, Louisiana. This is a long‑term, on‑site assignment offering stability and the opportunity to contribute to one of the region’s most significant energy infrastructure projects.
Candidates must have prior LNG project experience and a strong background working directly for the Owner.
- 5–7+ years of inspection experience (civil/structural and/or piping welding)
- Mandatory LNG project experience
- Experience working directly for the Owner
- Strong working knowledge of AWS D1.1
- AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI)
- Understanding of Quality Management Principles
- API 570
- NDE background
- Additional relevant inspection certifications
- Perform site surveillance and document observations for compliance
- Verify construction activities in accordance with approved Inspection Test Plans (ITPs)
- Inspect civil, structural, and/or piping welding work
- Accept or reject work based on specifications and professional judgment
- Sign off inspection releases upon satisfactory completion
- Monitor and report work progress
- Ensure adherence to project quality standards and safety requirements
