The Warehouse Specialist performs a variety of warehousing duties which require an understanding of the establishment's storage plan in an accurate and timely manner.

• Moves, palletizes, stocks, and delivers property as requested by customer.
• Documents and barcodes incoming and outgoing shipments of materials and property to contractors or customers; conduct inventories; responds to helpdesk tickets in the areas of logistics, warehousing, and property management.
• Prepares equipment for disposal, sets up furniture and stages equipment for conference center events, assembles furniture, documents all customer request completions, and completes basic data entry computer tasks.
• Provides friendly customer service at all times.
• Verifies materials (or merchandise) against receiving documents, noting and reporting discrepancies and obvious damages.
• Removes material from storage and preparing it for shipment.
• May operate hand or power trucks in performing warehousing duties.
• Maintains equipment used on a daily basis and cleans work areas to maintain a safe work environment.
• Other duties as assigned.

• High School diploma or GED
• Minimum two (2) years of experience working as a Warehouse Specialist.
• Possess and maintain a valid state-issued Driver's license and applicable Government/ Army license.
• Possess a Forklift Certificate.

• Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to follow oral and written directions in English.
• Working knowledge of the governing supply systems, programs, policies, nomenclature, work methods, manuals, or other established guidelines
• Possess an understanding of the needs of the organization serviced.
• Ability to work outside in inclement weather conditions when necessary.
• Ensure that all tasks are performed safely.
• Ability to define or recognize the dimension of the problems involved, to collect the necessary data, to establish the facts, and to take or recommend action based upon application or interpretation of established guidelines.
• Wears safety items of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) e.g. gloves, safety shoes, protective eyewear, hearing protection, and other items such as aprons or outerwear as appropriate.
• Knowledge of the Army Supply Systems outlined in AR 710-2, DA Pamphlet 710-2-1 and AR 19-11.
• Familiarity in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.

• While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee may use repeated motions that include the arms, wrists, hands and/or fingers. The employee is occasionally required to walk, stand, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
