Position Summary

The Apprentice Electrician safely performs troubleshooting, maintenance, tests, repairs and electrical installations in large commercial settings.

Schedule

2nd Shift - Monday - Friday - 2:00PM-10:30PM

Pay

$25.00-$35.00 per hour.

The pay listed is the hourly range or the hourly rate for this position. A specific offer will vary based on applicant’s experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data.

Qualifications
  • Basic Qualifications:
    • Must be 18 years or older
    • One (1) year of experience as an electrician required; on the job training provided.
    • Must possess a valid, unexpired driver’s license
    • Must possess apprentice electrician's license in the state, county or city jurisdiction in which work will be performed.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • Three (3) years of experience as an electrician is preferred.
    • Prior experience in industrial maintenance and troubleshooting is preferred.
Responsibilities
  • Perform preventative maintenance on all electrical equipment on-site
  • Perform electrical installations of a commercial nature
  • Plan layout and installation of electrical equipment, conduit, wiring and fixtures, based on job specifications and local codes
  • Install electrical conduit, equipment, fixtures or wiring in floors, walls and ceilings
  • Install, inspect and test electrical systems
  • Perform installations which include but are not limited to panel boards, conduits, lay-in fixtures, wall packs, exit signs, light fixtures, disconnects, breakers, power distribution equipment and power supply wiring
  • Refer to labels, job site maps, instruction manuals, and written instructions to accurately perform all duties in conformance to appropriate safety and security standards
  • Report work orders, scheduled jobs and work progress to a foreperson
  • Ensure code compliance through proper installation of electrical components
