Bright Star Care has a private duty nursing opportunity (RN or LVN) for a client in Sugar Land, TX. Looking for a nurse to commit to every other weekend from 6a - 10a on Sat & or Sun. Other shift potentials and visits are available throughout the week if interested. Job Duties
  • Perform care as defined by the patient’s individual Plan of Care and within the scope of the state’s nurse practice act.
  • Monitor patient’s condition and notify appropriate personnel of any changes.
  • Patient flow sheet charting.
  • Provide services requiring substantial and specialized nursing skill.
  • Assure proper maintenance of clinical records in compliance with local, state, and federal laws.
  • Counsel the patient and family in meeting nursing and related needs.
  • Variety of assignments (infusions, injections, wound care, clinical trials & more).

Requirements
  • Current unrestricted RN or LVN license in the state of Texas.
  • Minimum one (2) year of documented experience required.
  • Tracheotomy experience required.
  • Certified CPR and negative TB skin test or chest X‑ray.
  • Licensed driver with valid automobile insurance.
  • Clean background and criminal record.
  • Negative pre‑employment drug screen.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, squat, bend, kneel, reach, twist, push and pull. Varied assistance is required depending on the mobility of the client. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
