- Assessment:
Admission and ongoing assessment of patient’s condition. Provides nursing care to meet the patient’s physical, psychological and spiritual needs. Notifies doctor of changes in assessment that require attention. - Planning:
Designs, directs, evaluates, and documents the plan of care, patient/family teaching and the transition of care plan to include safe discharge. Works with other clinical disciplines to meet specialized patient care and discharge needs. Formulates a plan of care and daily goals considering the patient’s individualized needs. - Implementation:
Prepares patients physically, psychologically, and spiritually for treatments, surgeries and diagnostic studies to reduce patient anxiety. Reports significant changes to the Charge Nurse/Team Leader and/or physician. Implements patient safety initiatives and protocols including medication safety practices, physician orders, and consult notifications. - Evaluation:
Reassesses patients at appropriate intervals following interventions. Notifies physician as necessary to modify interventions. Adjusts nursing care to meet patient’s emerging and changing needs. - Report
Skills:
Gives and receives bedside shift reports with family participation. Provides accurate and comprehensive reports to the oncoming shift to establish continuity of care. Receives reports from offgoing shift and delegates tasks accordingly. - Environment & Patient Safety:
Maintains a safe patient and work environment. Removes used and soiled equipment and linen promptly. Aligns with national and organizational goals to improve quality, patient safety, and satisfaction. Reports patient safety and hazard concerns immediately.
- Associates Degree in Nursing or Diploma (RN)
- At least one (1) year of RN experience
- Registered Nurse: TX
- Basic Life Support (BLS) – AHA
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) - within 6 months
- Stable Program - within 6 months

Pay Range$33.00 - $52.80 /hour
