The Material Handler is responsible for the maintenance, and integrity of raw materials inventory used in the Production area, as well as physical upkeep of the Production warehouse. Processing and maintaining raw material inventory, prepare materials for Production use, generate Production documentation and supply materials to the Production area.
What You'll Do- Receive, distribute, and store products as directed in designated, secure locations.
- Maintain accuracy of Raw Materials, and other supplies by documenting movement transactions, dates, locations, and other pertinent information, as well as performing cycle counts and generating, monitoring and analyzing material usage reports.
- Operate forklifts, motorized and manual pallet jacks and other specialized equipment used to manufacture lead kits, prespan and other materials used by Production to produce finished products and to move materials throughout the warehouse.
- Utilize an Enterprise Resource Processing (ERP) system and other software to Generate Production documentation and kit materials for use in Production. Processing and maintaining various forms of paperwork, records and documentation as required.
- Generate Purchase Requisition s for materials and supplies as required.
- Maintain compliance with ISO and OSHA standards by maintaining safe, clean and organized work environment. Following all procedures, practices, rules and safety requirements as well as following all company guidelines and policies.
- Participate and assist, as required, in Quality, Safety, Productivity and Production improvement initiatives.
- Cross train with machine operators and other duties as assigned.
- A high school diploma, or equivalent.
- Relevant experience in warehouse or manufacturing - preferred
- Valid driver's license required
- Current Forklift Certification preferred but not required
- Warehouse Operations experience
- Inventory Management experience
- Continuous Improvement experience
- Manufacturing experience
- Shipping & receiving experience
- Inventory Control experience
- Good communication skills and ability to work with others.
- Good computer skills, and ability to use various Microsoft products (e.g., Excel, Access, Word etc.)
