Are you an experienced ER RN from a trauma-designated facility who’s ready to step away from the bedside—but still make a meaningful impact on trauma care?
This is a high-impact, behind-the-scenes role supporting Level I & Level II Trauma services through education, data, and performance improvement. If you’re detail-oriented, metrics-driven, and passionate about doing trauma the right way, this is a natural next step.
What You’ll Be DoingThis role blends trauma education, data abstraction, and quality improvement—no direct patient care required.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Supporting the Trauma Registrar by helping fast-track and validate trauma charts for Level I & II cases
- Reviewing trauma documentation to ensure compliance with state, ACS, and internal trauma metrics
- Preparing and presenting trauma performance data and metrics for trauma committees
- Identifying trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement in trauma care processes
- Assisting with staff education related to trauma cases, documentation standards, and performance expectations
- Supporting Mock Traumas and Mock Codes as part of ongoing readiness and education initiatives
- Helping ensure the organization consistently meets (and exceeds) required trauma benchmarks

- Monday–Friday
- Primarily 8:00am–5:00pm
- Occasional schedule flexibility for Mock Traumas or education events
- Non-patient facing

- Active RN license
- Background as an ER RN
, preferably in a Level I or Level II Trauma Center - Strong understanding of trauma workflows, documentation, and emergency department operations
- Comfort working with data, metrics, and performance improvement initiatives
- Strong communication and education skills
