Position Overview:We are seeking dedicated and compassionate individuals to join our team as Hospice Volunteers. As a volunteer, you will play a vital role in providing emotional support, companionship, and non-medical assistance to patients and families receiving hospice care. Whether through conversation, reading, listening to music, or simply sitting in quiet presence, your time can make a lasting impact.
Volunteer Responsibilities:- Providing companionship to patients
- Offering emotional support to families
- Assisting with light errands or caregiver respite
- Supporting administrative tasks or events
- Participating in bereavement follow-up or support activities
- Comprehensive volunteer orientation and training
- Flexible scheduling
- Ongoing support from our interdisciplinary care team
- A rewarding opportunity to make a difference in people’s lives
- Compassionate, empathetic, and reliable
- Good communication and listening skills
- Able to maintain confidentiality
- Willingness to undergo background screening and training
- Must be 18 years or older
