Department: Guest Services

Reports to: Director, Stadium Operations

Classification: Part-Time/Non-Exempt (Seasonal)

Summary / Objective

Under the direction of the Director, Stadium Operations, an usher is assigned to assist and observe guests in accordance with Company’s customer service standards and applicable operational standards. This is a part‑time, seasonal position (Game Day only) that requires days, nights, weekends and some holidays. Must be 16 years of age or older.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  • Greets and acknowledges guests.
  • Answers guests’ questions and assists guests to their assigned seats by checking tickets in the seating bowl.
  • Wipes off seats and collects trash in assigned section pre‑game, during game and post‑game.
  • Must be able to climb stairs and stand for duration of the game.
  • Keeps all aisles clear.
  • Ability to stay calm and assist guests in case of emergency; medical situation, evacuation, etc.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Education and/or Experience & Skills
  • Previous experience in customer service and/or sporting event venues is a plus.
  • Excellent guest service skills; ability to adhere to Company’s customer service standards.
  • Good communication skills; ability to effectively communicate with guests and co‑workers.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in fast‑paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member.
  • Capable of following job guidelines and supervisors' instructions.
Work Environment

The noise level is usually moderate but can be loud within the stadium environment. Must be able to work in all types of outdoor weather conditions and within a stadium environment.

Physical Demands
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 15 lbs.
  • Ability to stand for entire length of shift.
  • Ability to walk up and down stairs frequently.
  • Visual acuity sufficient to see and observe guests in many sections.
Position Type

This is a part‑time position. This position requires the ability to work a flexible schedule, including; extended hours, evenings, weekends and holidays.

Travel

No travel is expected for this position.
