Position: Field Technician/ Field Engineer

Field Engineer | Real Field Ownership | Employee-Owned | $140–165K Total

Location: Alpharetta, GA or Sugar Land, TX
Travel: ~75% (structured 3–4 day weeks)

. They’re adding a Field Engineer who wants technical ownership, client visibility, and the chance to solve real electrical and control system challenges in the field.

What You’ll Own
  • Lead on-site execution of electrical and control system projects
  • Support installation, startup, testing, and commissioning of industrial systems up to 480

    VAC
  • Troubleshoot real-world issues and drive solutions, not paperwork
  • Work directly with clients, contractors, and engineering teams
  • Direct field crews and keep projects moving safely and on schedule
  • Perform system walkdowns and field verification for accurate as-builts
  • Participate in Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and system validation
The Technical Environment
  • Industrial power and electrical systems (up to 480

    VAC)
  • Electrical drawings, single-lines, panels, and field wiring
  • NEC / NFPA standards
Nice to have
  • PLC/HMI exposure (Allen-Bradley, Factory Talk, Wonderware, iFIX, etc.)
  • AutoCAD redlines or field updates
  • Protection relays, historians, or industrial communications
Travel (Structured, Predictable)
  • ~75% travel
  • Typically 3–4 day travel weeks
  • About one week per month working locally
  • Not constant chaos or last-minute schedules
Compensation & Benefits
  • $110–130K base
  • $30–40K additional (straight-time OT + bonus)
  • $140–165K+ total compensation
