Saint Theresa Catholic School (STCS) is a Catholic classical school in the Archdiocese of Galveston‑Houston serving students in Pre‑Kindergarten through 8th Grade. Position Summary
Under the supervision of the Head of School, the classical Classroom Teacher is responsible for teaching the humanities—Religion, Literature, History, Reading, and Grammar—and Mathematics according to the principles of Catholic classical education. The teacher shares in the work of forming students in wisdom and virtue by integrating faith and reason, presenting both the humanities and mathematics as ordered disciplines that reflect truth, goodness, and beauty, and leading students through the Western intellectual tradition toward a deeper understanding of God's creation.
The teacher plans and delivers instruction in alignment with the school's classical curriculum and mission, creates an orderly and joyful learning environment, attends to the needs of individual students, and communicates effectively with parents and administration. Faculty are expected to grow in their own faith and professional practice, collaborate closely with families and colleagues, and actively promote the mission and ideals of Saint Theresa Catholic School.
Applicants must hold a bachelor's degree; a master's degree in the humanities is preferred.
Familiarity with classical education is required. This position is hired and evaluated by the Head of School.

- Plan and deliver instruction aligned with the school's classical curriculum, adopted scope and sequence, and instructional standards

- Maintain accurate records of grades, attendance, and student progress in accordance with school policy (FACTS)
- Establish and maintain a safe, orderly, and respectful classroom environment that promotes learning and growth in virtue
- Communicate professionally, clearly, and proactively with parents and administration regarding student progress, expectations, and concerns
- Participate fully in faculty meetings, professional development, committees, and assigned school initiatives
