Outside Operations Specialist at the Port Jefferson Country ClubOutside Operations is a high-visibility role responsible for the white-glove service experience. This role requires a move-with-purpose mentality—anticipating member needs before they are voiced. You are responsible for the first impression (Bag Drop) and the last impression (Club Cleaning) of the PJCC experience.
Role Overview: Outside Operations is a high-visibility role responsible for the white-glove service experience. This role requires a move-with-purpose mentality—anticipating member needs before they are voiced. You are responsible for the first impression (Bag Drop) and the last impression (Club Cleaning) of the PJCC experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fleet Excellence: Prepare, clean, and stage the cart fleet daily. Carts must be spotless (including windshields and tire wells) and fully stocked with scorecards, pencils, and full seed bottles.
- Member Services: Provide proactive bag drop assistance. Clean every set of clubs after a round with scrub brushes. This is a core service standard.
- Driving Range Management: Maintain a pristine practice facility. This includes power-picking the range and hand-picking critical areas (Hole 1/3, Chipping Green).
- Facility Upkeep: Manage towel laundry, refill course water/seed stations, and keep the staging area and basement organized.
Professionalism & Uniform Standards:
- Approved Attire: Staff must wear the designated Outside Operations uniform (club-issued shirt/outerwear and approved slacks or shorts).
- Headwear: PJCC club hats are permitted but must be worn forward at all times.
- Appearance: Ensure uniforms remain as clean as possible. Ripped, heavily stained, or excessively baggy clothing is not permitted.
- Conduct: No sitting in carts or standing around. Professionalism means being "on your feet and ready" to assist members at all times.
- Availability: 30–40 hours per week.
- Shifts: 6:00 AM – 1:00 PM (Opener) or 1:00 PM – Close (Closer).
- Wage rate: $17.00 per hour
