Overview
Multi-Unit Team Leader at H&R Block: lead three tax offices, drive client experience and growth. Prior tax preparation experience is not required.
Responsibilities- Provide leadership over three H&R Block tax offices; oversee customer-centric teams to accelerate seasonal tax business.
- Front-line manager responsible for leadership and development of associates; deliver outstanding client experience and achieve office growth objectives for three offices.
- Start with a flexible part-time schedule in fall; transition to full-time January–April, including evening and weekend hours as needed; in-person role.
- Lead daily team meetings, create associate work schedules, manage timekeeping and labor across all offices.
- Travel between offices as required; prepare tax returns as needed after completing Income Tax Course or Tax Knowledge Assessment.
- Manage office staffing, operations, and logistics for multiple offices with support from Associate Team Leaders.
- Partner with District General Manager to create and implement growth plans and client targets; develop local partnerships and community involvement.
- Assist DGM in recruiting and interviewing candidates for tax office positions.
- Conduct timely performance reviews; address performance concerns with Associate Relations Center.
- Build an engaging team environment across offices; train and coach associates; recognize contributions.
- Lead daily team meetings and communicate essential information to tax office associates.
- Travel between offices as required; ensure accurate timekeeping and labor management.
- Prepare tax returns as needed after training.
- People management experience with ability to grow and develop associates.
- Aptitude for growth plan execution and leading a growth-focused culture.
- Strong decision-making and judgment; ability to work in fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
- Interpersonal and communication skills; customer-centric mindset.
- Computer proficiency with MS Office.
- Bachelor’s degree or high school diploma with equivalent experience.
- Successful completion of H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment or Income Tax Course (if preparing tax returns).
