Project Engineer (BR-139)

“This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the development and delivery of projects at Sizewell A, delivering the site into a safe and secure end state.”
We are looking for Project Engineers (Mech/Elec/C&I/Process) to lead in the development of robust technical solutions, from concept, though the commissioning phases into routine operations and beyond.
Key Deliverables
- Provide suitable engineering solutions for complex projects.
- Identify project functional requirements and stakeholder needs for assigned projects.
- Contribute to project documentation including design, safety case and commissioning strategies.
- Develop concept designs and fit for purpose engineering solutions for projects.
- Produce and/or approve project technical specifications.
- Manage detailed design activities in accordance with design authority standards.
- Carry out technical assessment/approval of contractors work instruction/method statements/risk assessments.
- Provide technical supervision of construction/deconstruction activities to ensure compliance with design intent.
- Specify and provide technical supervision of commissioning and/or decommissioning.
- Manage handover to systems/operations ensuring that all drawings, instructions and training have been supplied as required.
Qualifications/Experience/Knowledge
- Appropriate HNC, (NQF Level
5); preferably degree level (NQF Level
6) or working towards (Essential). - Significant experience in practising disciplined Engineering role on industrial plant (Essential).
- Experience of fulfilling the CDM Designer role (Essential).
- Knowledge/Experience in commissioning of industrial plant (Desirable).
- Knowledge/Experience in Contract Management (Desirable).l>
- Experience of nuclear and/or conventional project engineering (Essential).
- Understanding of relevant Company and/or national engineering standards (Essential).
- The candidate must be a proactive individual with a proven record of delivering in a project team.

- Successful candidates will be required to hold Authorisations commensurate with the role.
