Site Systems and Data Engineer – Dalkia – Hinkley Point C
Hinkley Point C is the UK’s first new build nuclear power station in a generation that is critical to the UK Net Zero targets.
All roles on the project require key behaviours which support the Zero Harm objective, a questioning attitude, and a drive to uphold the standards of safety and quality required by this prestigious project. A committed strong work ethic is essential at all levels.
All candidates are expected to demonstrate their knowledge and experience where possible directly related to the criteria required for the role. It is acknowledged that previous nuclear‑based experience will not always be possible, so supporting with project research and how individual skills may be transferable will be important.
There are opportunities to put together strategic people plans within the nuclear sector, work on wider company people projects, deliver an excellent first‑class service to employees and ensure the administration and processes that engulf working life are implemented effectively and fairly.
Accountabilities- Ensure site installation software and data extracted from i is managed efficiently and in line with the project scope.
- Coordinate the onboarding, off‑boarding, training, access, hardware, governance and security for the site installation software tool.
- Ensure ITPs within the ITP register are available for construction use within the site installation software tool, sequencing and data control is managed and lifetime quality records are produced in adherence to client requirements.
- Data validation and reporting on quality metrics available through the site installation software database and exportable to Power BI and other analytic tools.
- Maintain a strong relationship with the Construction, Quality and Records team to resolve issues involving record production through the site installation software tool.
- Support the Senior Management Team in ensuring digital strategy is achieved through the application of the site installation software tool.
- Good understanding of core manufacturing, construction phases and inspection processes.
- Understanding the concepts and applications of problem solving and improvement tools.
- Minimum 3 years experience in a site Quality or systems role.
- Minimum 5 years experience in analytical assessment of systems and processes.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- HND or equivalent Software Engineering qualification.
- Experience with in the nuclear sector.
- Understanding the concepts and applications of problem solving and improvement tools.
- Nuclear safety culture understanding.
- Ability to organise and structure a diverse workload.
- Exposure to data reporting systems such as Power BI.
