Sentara Medical Group is seeking a Hospitalist responsible for providing direct inpatient clinical care and managing medical problems of acutely ill, hospitalized, adult, non-surgical patients. The Hospitalist leads the interdisciplinary team to improve efficiency and facilitate continuum of care from admission through discharge. This continuum of care includes general adult medicine, internal medicine consults as requested, critical care management and management of patients with comorbidities.
The Hospitalist will carry out assigned duties displaying the highest standards of ethical and moral conduct as well as acting in the best interest of Sentara Medical Group and Sentara Healthcare, supporting our mission, vision and values to optimize the health and well-being of our patients.
- Provide direct inpatient clinical care and manage medical problems of acutely ill, hospitalized adult, non-surgical patients.

- Be involved in general adult medicine, internal medicine consults as requested, critical care management, and management of patients with comorbidities.
- Demonstrate highest standards of ethical and moral conduct and act in the best interest of Sentara Medical Group and Sentara Healthcare, aligning with mission, vision and values to optimize patient health and well-being.
- Adhere to residency and board certification requirements in the area of specialty; board eligible physicians will be considered with certification to be obtained within 4 years of eligibility.
