Quantity Surveyor / Senior Quantity Surveyor, Major Nuclear Energy Project - Suffolk£45,000-£70,000 + £5,000 Travel Allowance + Benefits
We are working in partnership with a leading cost and project management consultancy supporting the delivery of a high‑profile nuclear energy development in Suffolk, one of the most significant infrastructure programmes currently underway in the UK.
As part of continued programme mobilisation, my client is seeking to appoint Quantity Surveyors and Senior Quantity Surveyors on a permanent basis to support the delivery of civils and enabling works packages within the wider project team.
Quantity Surveyors and Senior Quantity Surveyors considering this opportunity will need prior experience working on large civil engineering or infrastructure projects alongside an in-depth understanding of the NEC contract and robust commercial skills.
The Role sThe Quantity Surveyor and Senior Quantity Surveyor will be working closely with the client and wider project teams to maintain commercial control and contractual compliance across the programme. Duties will include contract administration, payments and change management.
RequirementsQuantity Surveyor (c. 5+ years' experience):
- Apprenticeship or degree-qualified preferred
- A minimum of a 2 years' post‑graduation experience
- NEC3 experience with confidence in contract administration, payment processes, change control and early warnings
- General commercial management
Senior Quantity Surveyor (c. 10+ years' experience):
- Strong NEC3 background is essential
- Proven experience managing payment applications and assessments, compensation events & change management on complex infrastructure works
- Comfortable operating with minimal supervision in a client‑facing role
- Project & working arrangements
Candidates must either live locally or be willing to stay away overnight.
All candidates must be eligible for BPSS clearance.
Salary & Benefits- Starting salary of £45,000 - £70,000 (dependent on level and experience)
- £5,000 annual travel allowance
- 25 days annual leave, plus bank holidays
