What You’ll Be Doing

As a Construction Manager, you’ll oversee the re-construction of a key section of the SZC works. You’ll lead the charge in ensuring safety, efficiency, and on-time delivery. From tactical logistics planning to stakeholder engagement, your role will encompass the entire construction lifecycle, including:

  • Strategic Execution:
    Help the PM to develop and implement detailed construction strategies and plans.
  • Project Oversight:
    Deliver new projects into the Sizewell C Project with safety and quality at the forefront of our works.
  • Stakeholder Engagement:
    Collaborate with contractors, regulators, and government bodies to ensure project success.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    Drive innovation and embed lessons learned to ensure world-class project delivery.
  • Good knowledge of CDM Regulations and a proven track record of their implementation.
What We’re Looking For
  • Proven leader with a strong track record of delivering large, technically complex construction and civil engineering projects.
  • Industry expertise within construction and civil engineering.
  • Experience managing multidisciplinary teams on projects and working within regulated environments.
  • Management skills: supervising Tier 1 contractors.
  • Leadership capabilities: ability to inspire teams, resolve complex issues, and foster collaboration.
  • Technical knowledge: familiarity with construction methodologies, CDM Regulations, and earned value management tools.
  • Strong communication: excellent interpersonal, influencing, and presentation skills to engage stakeholders effectively.
  • Degree and chartered status in an engineering, construction, or other related field desirable.
  • SMSTS and CSCS site manager card – Essential.
