Position: Support Manager (Permanent)
Support Manager | Bury Saint Edmunds | £35,000 - £42,000 dependent on experience

Our client is an international supplier of specialised training ammunition serving clients in multiple countries. The Support Manager will deliver administrative and technical support for customer and partner requirements. The role will be primarily office-based, with travel undertaken as required to support operational activities.

The Role:

+Team Coverage:
Provide operational cover for the internal sales team during periods of absence to ensure continuity of sales activities and customer support.

+Tender Administration:
Assist with the preparation, completion, and submission of tender applications for international training ammunition contracts. Over time, assume full responsibility for managing and coordinating international tender submissions.

+Customer Coordination:
Act as a central point of contact between customers, the sales team, senior management, and the production department, representing customer requirements and supporting the negotiation of delivery schedules.

+Sales & Visit Coordination:
Support the organisation and coordination of partner and customer site visits, ensuring all internal arrangements are managed effectively so that visits run smoothly and create a positive and professional experience for visitors.

Key

Skills and Experience:

+Strong understanding of the sales order process, from the receipt of Requests for Information (RFI) and Requests for Quotation (RFQ) through to order fulfilment.

+Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including professional telephone communication.

+Well organised and adaptable, with the ability to prioritise and manage workload effectively.

+Familiarity with desktop publishing tools (photography skills desirable) and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook.

+Willingness and ability to travel within the UK and internationally (essential).
