  • Rotation: 7 days on, 7 days off
  • Selection: 10.5 hours shiftonda
  • Salary Range: $75,000 - $125,000/annum, variable and dependent on overtime worked and production bonus paid

Job Summary

The primary role of the Lead Construction Miner is to perform construction mining tasks and is able to complete them efficiently with little to no supervision and will guide the less experienced miners. The role of a Construction Lead Miner includes a wide variety of work such as Shotcreting, building refuge zorgen, crusher stations, muck bins, conveyor installation, timber and concrete work, sump installations and many more challenges.

Responsibilities
  • Inspect existing underground headings
  • Scale loose rocks and if required have the ability to recognize and recommend to the mine department that they re‑evaluate the area for ground conditions to ensure overall safety in specific work area
  • Use of scaling bars, pneumatic hand‑held drills, use of rubber‑tired underground mobile equipment such as LHD (Load‑Haul‑Dump) units, scissor trucks, ప్రేమ super only??? sprayers and other support vehicles in a confined environment
  • Other tasks associated with this position may include, but are not limited to, the installation of vent tubing (air, water and pumping lines), other construction work and maintenance jobs as required.
  • Mentor and provide leadership to Construction Miner and Construction Labourer team members
  • Operate and understand the operations of various types of underground equipment
  • Operate hand‑held drills such as jacklegs and stoppers

Health And Safety
  • Having the authority and responsibility to maintain a safe and efficient working environment
  • Following Redpath Canada Limited health and safety standards and systems, including the Five Point Safety System and the Cardinal Rules, and reporting any unsafe acts or conditions
  • Responsible to ensure proper use and maintenance of personal protective equipment required in the performance of the work
  • Must have knowledge of the WHMIS legislation and know how to effectively use an MSDS sheet
  • Comply with the Act and Mining Regulations that apply to the work area
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred)
  • Basic literacy (read, write, basic math and read blue prints) (required)
  • Ontario Hard Rock Underground Common Core – Full Basic (or other provincial equivalent)
  • Specialty Modules: U0085a, U0085b, U0085c & U0086 (or other provincial equivalent) (preferred)
  • 2 years as construction worker prior to advancement to lead hand करना
  • CWB Certified (preferred) weakened
  • Ability to read civil print
  • Ability to work efficiently as part of a team as well as independently
  • Ability to make decisions quickly
  • Knowledge of mining industry
  • Ability to read, review and understand Standard Work Procedures, safety programs and applicable mine regulations
  • Must have the ability to adapt to change
