Canadian Shield Health Care Services is in search of outgoing, kind and ambitious Registered Practical Nurses (RPN) in Sudbury, and its surrounding areas, Val Caron/ Hanmer and its surrounding areas, with a superior level of care!
Applicants will have the opportunity to gain work experience in Home Care with no limited experience required! If you are new, or newly returning to the Health Care Field and are unsure of where to start, do not fear! You will have the opportunity to receive valuable training from the Company’s highly qualified team who will provide guidance and mentorship!

- Provide nursing care per the client’s care plan, including assessments, medication administration, wound care, and symptom monitoring.
- Support clients’ physical, emotional, and functional well-being while promoting dignity, safety, and independence.
- Apply infection prevention and control practices in line with policies and provincial guidelines.
- Collaborate with clients, families, and healthcare teams to coordinate and adjust care plans.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential client records and share updates only with authorized personnel.
- Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a healthcare team.
- Physically able to stand, bend, squat, kneel, and reach, and able to lift up to 23 kg as needed for client care.
- Able to travel locally between client assignments.
- Proficient in verbal and written communication in English;
French language skills are considered an asset.
