Receptionist​/Care Navigator

Main duties of the job

• Offer general assistance to the practice team and project a positive and friendly image to patients and other visitors, either in person or over the telephone and email
• Receive, assist and direct patients in accessing the appropriate service or healthcare professional in a courteous, efficient and effective way
• Undertake a variety of administrative duties to assist in the smooth running of the practice, including the provision of clerical support to clinical staff and other members of the practice team
• Facilitate effective communication between patients, members of the primary health care team, secondary care and other associated healthcare agencies

Siam Surgery is a GP practice located within Sudbury Community Health Centre and provides a high level of care to over 13,000 patients in Sudbury, Suffolk and its surrounding villages. Rated good in all areas by CQC, Siam Surgery also has a high level of patient satisfaction.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
• Excellent computer skills in Word, Excel and Outlook
• Good standard of numeracy and literacy
• Confident working as part of a team and independently
• An understanding of GDPR and confidentiality
• Presentable and approachable to both staff and patients
• Self-motivated
• Flexible and able to adapt
• Experience working with the clinical system 'Systm One' would be advantageous
